Home Gym Essentials on a Budget
This Amazon bike transformed my home gym and on a budget. Here are the essentials to get the most out of working out at home.
Home Gym Essentials on a Budget
If you would have asked me a few years go, I would have said home workouts or home gym is not for me. Part of my routine was going to my yoga studio which also offered babysitting. But, obviously over the last few years a gym workout was not longer an option. So I started looking for budget friendly home options.
At first, youtube videos were enough. You can find tons of workout videos and I was mixing Hiit workouts with some yoga videos, but I also knew I needed more—especially to shed the baby weight.
Read this post on how I’ve shed the baby weight the first time around. And here are a few ideas for exercising with baby.
So I started looking into the Peloton and best equipment for home workout. At the time (2020) it seemed like everyone was going out to get one. I’ve done stationary bike exercises before, so I knew what I was into, but I just could not get over the price tag.
That’s when I found a much cheaper option on Amazon! The sunny health & fitness indoor bike has been perfect for my makeshift home gym. As soon as I received the bike I signed up for the Peloton app, which is only $12.99 and well worth the price.
I’ve been loving my home gym workouts with the app and would highly recommend whether you’re a seasoned spinner or a beginner. If you’re looking for home gym ideas, here are all the essentials to get you started.
I also love that the bike has a cadence tracker, this helps immensely to keep up with the Peloton app exercisers. As someone who has taken a spin class in the past, I find it easy to follow and use the knob to make the ride more difficult as needed. I also find that an iPad sits perfectly on the handlebars of the bike, so I don’t use my phone anymore and the iPad really makes it easy to follow the instructors.
The bike was easy to put together and I’ve been loving my time in our garage (which is where I’ve set up my mini home gym). I’ve been doing spin classes as well as bootcamp classes and eventually I do want to incorporate yoga—all through the app.
