We all know finding a pair of well fitted jeans is like spotting a unicorn. It’s just one of those elusive, very subjective items like the perfect white tee or the perfect bra—universally one style isn’t going to suit everyone.

However, after endlessly seeing a pair of jeans I loved they inevitably ended up being the Pistola jeans. So, I had to find out for myself whether this Los Angeles woman founded brand was as effortlessly cool and fashionable on me.

Why I Wanted to Try Pistola Denim

Pistola denim is a Los Angeles based womenswear brand created in 2013 by Grace Na. Pistola Denim was founded with the goal of creating high-quality, on-trend denim that’s both accessible and versatile.

Personally, a brand created by a woman for women is something I want to support, but also Pistola denim uses high-quality textiles, creates on trend denim style at an accessible price point, while being compared to high end brands.

The Pistola Denim Jeans I Tried | My Honest Review

I tried several Pistola Denim jeans, in variety of colors, trends and styles. Overall, I found all of the jeans to be true to my usual denim size. They were also soft without being stretchy and exceptionally comfortable. I posted a review on my Instagram Page, if you like to take a look.

Lana High Rise —These were an instant favorite for me. They fit true to size, and the high rise wide leg style denim is perfect for someone petite (I’m 5’2), because it instantly elongates your legs and you appear taller and slender.

This is a great pair of jeans for date night, as I find them to be a little more structured and the dark wash is perfect for evenings.

The sizing was great in all of the Pistola jeans I tried on. I found that my regular size worked perfectly in every style.

Lexi Mid Rise Bowed Straight – Bowie This pair of jeans was a perfect mix between slightly bowed and boyfriend style jeans. I am 5’2 so on me they do not look cropped like they do on the model, but I still found them to be extremely comfortable, especially for casual everyday outfits. A perfect, everyday pair of jeans that you can breath in, without them losing their shape.

Charlie High Rise Straight – Augustus These were another great pair of dark wash jeans. I found them to be extremely flattering. I also loved that they hit me right at the ankle, and I did not have to cut a raw hem or get them tailored.
