How To Clean a Wool Coat
If you’re concerned about owning a winter white wool coat and having to keep it clean, don’t worry it’s actually quite easy to clean a wool coat, even a white one.
To clean a wool coat, you can simply brush it to remove loose soil, or spot treat dirty areas with warm water and some gentle hands or a wash cloth.
If your machine has a wool cycle you can wash your wool coat. I would recommend turning it inside out and using lukewarm water.
Do not use dryer or hot water or vigorous cycle which can damage the wool.
To remove makeup from your wool coat, I use micellar water to gently scrub it away.
To prevent pilling on your coat, a fabric shaver works wonders.
